Research in Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:RIMM) has just finished its Blackberry 10 Jam World Tour in Jakarta with more than 350 Indonesian app developers attending earlier today. The event was held to promote the Blackberry 10 platform to the Indonesian developer community, enabling them to be app developers for the new platform.
Hastings Singh, the managing director of South Asia RIM noted that the tour would “provide opportunities for [RIM] to be directly involved with the Blackberry Developer in Jakarta.”
RIM also said that on average one million Blackberry phones are sold annually in Indonesia. The next stop on the tour will be Sydney, Australia on July 12.
