Australian team productivity startup Atlassian acquires ThinkTilt
Atlassian, an Australia-based team collaboration and productivity software startup, announced that it has acquired ThinkTilt, a partner in the Atlassian marketplace. ThinkTilt is the creator of ProForma, a no-code or low-code form builder for the Jira platform.
Jira, along with platforms such as Confluence, Bitbucket, and Trello, are products created by Atlassian.

The acquisition is expected to help Atlassian address the service management challenges faced by companies embracing digital workplace practices, the company said in a statement. It will continue to augment its advanced forms and checklist capabilities and integrate ThinkTilt’s ProForma tightly with Jira Service Management.
ThinkTilt helps a company’s IT team empower other teams in their organization to deliver better service and support to all the other employees. It claims that its platform is used by over 700 companies.
Its ProForma builder supports 24 languages and more than 300 pre-built form templates that encapsulate the best industry practices. It focuses on bringing developers and IT teams together to help an organization’s other business teams develop services and deliver value faster, and cope with the reality of remote and hybrid work.
“By integrating ProForma with Jira Service Management, teams will be able to deliver exceptional service experiences even faster,” said Edwin Wong, head of product and IT at Atlassian. “Advanced form validation capabilities allow IT to quickly collect and validate all the information they need about a request before it gets automatically fast-tracked to the right teams for resolution.”
This acquisition follows others that Atlassian has already made in this space. Some of them are its purchase of Opsgenie, a software that helps operations teams handle incidents faster and more efficiently, and Halp, which turns team messaging apps into an internal help desk and ticketing solution for employees.
