Edtech startup helping people start coding careers bags angel funding
Indian edtech startup AttainU has received an undisclosed amount of angel funding from ex-Google India head Shailesh Rao, ex-Intuit India head Nikhil Rungta, Snapmint co-founder Anil Gelra, KredX co-founder Manish Kumar, and angel investing platform LetsVenture.

Founded in 2018, AttainU offers full-time and online software engineering courses that run for seven months and connects graduates to its industry partners after the completion of a course. Currently, the startup’s programs are focused on teaching technical and soft skills, following a deferred fee payment model conditional to employment.
AttainU said it targets college-educated students who don’t have a job or are in careers they’re not satisfied with. Prior coding experience is not required to get into its programs.
The startup plans to use the fresh investment to bolster its faculty and counseling teams, further develop its courses, and build a semi-automated platform to help with the reception of students.
“Over the last 10 months, we have been able to figure out many processes, complementing human psychology, to facilitate deep-rooted learning,” said AttainU co-founder and CEO Divyam Goel. “At this point, we are receiving double-digit thousand student applications every month and are very excited about the scale of impact we will be able to deliver through our tech-first approach.”
Prior to founding AttainU, Goel worked with Microsoft, Uber, and Google. His co-founder, Vaibhav Bajpai, on the other hand, was a founding member at GeekforGeeks, a computer science interview preparation platform.
