1. CarTrade | India
CarTrade is one of India’s leading online marketplaces for buyers and sellers of new and used vehicles. It has vehicle listings, price profiles, and certifications for used cars. It conducts car auctions in 80 Indian cities, in which over 1,200 dealers take part. It recently raised a funding round led by international private equity fund Warburg Pincus. Canaan Partners and Tiger Global, CarTrade’s earlier investors, also participated in this round.
2. BrainWars | Japan
Developed by Japanese startup Translimit, BrainWars is a competitive brain training app for smartphones. The game matches players in three rounds of quick-fire puzzles and points are awarded based on six attributes including speed, memory, judgement and mental arithmetic.
3. Lvmama | China
Lvmama is one of the oldest and largest DIY travel and tourism sites in China (tourism in China is typically split between group tours and private DIY). The site aggregates and sells tours, attraction tickets, visa services, trips to resorts, and cruises. Most of the offerings are based in Asia. It secured about US$49 million in fresh funding from a group of undisclosed investors.
4. Vizury | India
India’s ad retargeting firm Vizury it collects and collates data on consumers who visit client websites. Then it uses machine learning based on over 30 parameters to determine who is a warm lead and how to convert her to a hot lead and finally a repeat customer. Then, it targets ads or other media at specific visitors.
5. Justa | Japan
Tokyo-based Justa wants to become the go-to recruitment solution for startups in Japan by making the whole process simple and accessible to everyone, regardless of HR experience or how much money is in the bank.
6. SignEasy | India
India’s SignEasy promotes a vision of going paperless. With it’s mobile app, it allows for the signing of documents electronically from a phone or a tablet based on iOS, Android, BlackBerry, and Kindle Fire platforms. It integrates with Box, Dropbox, Evernote, and Google Drive.
7. PICOOC | China
