Asia gets two new PS Vita colors following discontinuation of the PSP
It is the end of an era for the Playstation Portable (PSP), and the start of a new one for the Playstation Vita. The PSP will no longer be sold in Japan from this month onward, but Sony is tempering the loss of this decade-old companion with two new colors for the new Playstation VIta model.
The two new colors, red/black and blue/black, will start retailing on July 3 around the region. Although Japan is getting these new handheld color options as part of a super value bundle that pairs the console with a game and an 8 GB memory card (just $185, according to Kotaku), Singapore, and most likely the rest of Southeast Asia, will have to to purchase the consoles as they are for S$299 (about $238).
Damn you, Sony!
