Apple supplier Lingyi iTech raises $1.1b in IPO

China’s Lingyi iTech, a Shenzhen-based maker of components for smartphones, tablets, and laptops, priced its Hong Kong initial public offering at HK$10.18 (US$1.3) per share on June 24.

The offering raised about HK$8.3 billion (US$1.06 billion) as the company seeks to expand capacity to meet growing demand for AI hardware.

Its prospectus shows 37.6% of the proceeds, or about HK$3.07 billion (US$391 million), will go to expanding production capacity and upgrading core manufacturing processes.

That includes HK$1.71 billion (US$218 million) over the next three years for high-density AI servers, humanoid robot hardware, and AI optical communication infrastructure.

Lingyi supplies parts to customers including Apple, Huawei, and Samsung. The company aims to benefit from rising demand for AI computing and advanced hardware.

Lingyi expects to announce demand for its international offering and Hong Kong public tranche, as well as allocation results, on June 25.

Trading is scheduled to begin on June 26, subject to the global offering becoming unconditional.

Hong Kong initial public offerings and second listings have raised US$21.5 billion this year through June 11, more than double the amount in the same period of 2025, according to London Stock Exchange Group data.
