Antler, a global early-stage venture capital firm, has closed its US$285 million emerging growth fund Antler Elevate.
The fund will support founders across the VC firm’s global footprint, providing scale-up capital from series A onward. Antler will support companies that “have ambitious mindsets, show strong signs of product-market fit, and demonstrate compounding growth.”
“A better future will not happen automatically – the world needs talented, driven, and resilient people to build it,” Magnus Grimeland, Antler founder and CEO, said in a statement.
Antler Elevate has already invested over US$70 million in more than 30 companies. These include crypto firm XanPool, F&B chain Pickup Coffee, and fintech startup Volopay.
Investors in the fund include M&G Catalyst, Schroders, Vaekstfonden, and Korea Venture Investment Corp.
The fund’s venture growth team is led by Martell Hardenberg, co-founder of ecommerce major Lazada; Teddy Himler, former vice president of SoftBank and principal at Comcast Ventures; and Fady Abdel-Nour, former global head of M&A and investment at Prosus Fintech.
Since 2018, Antler said it has invested in over 750 companies. In Asia Pacific, it has offices in Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Vietnam.
