Anthropic plans to give enterprise customers more control over their data when using its advanced AI models, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The change would shift the Claude chatbot maker’s data retention policy. Anthropic documents its policies through its Trust Center and offers Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act-ready plans for some enterprise customers.

Anthropic is also expected to roll out a new safety system later this year. The company already uses ASL3 protections under a versioned Responsible Scaling Policy for more capable AI models.
