Ankur Mehrotra, managing director of Grab Financial Group, is planning to end a six-year stint at the company to join BukuWarung, an Indonesia-based bookkeeping app, Bloomberg reported, citing sources.
Mehrotra has over 20 years of work experience and held roles at the International Monetary Fund and Standard Chartered Bank before joining Grab in November 2017. He also co-founded Abratable, a platform for foodies to discover top restaurants, bars, and cafés in 2012.
The development comes after Wui Ngiap Foo – another top Grab executive – left the firm to lead Ethlas, a blockchain gaming startup.
In another setback to the super app, Grab Vietnam managing director Nguyen Thai Hai Van also resigned from her post this month, Tech in Asia previously reported.
