Animoca Brands investor raises over $100m in final close of its latest fund
True Global Ventures (TGV), a Singapore-headquartered venture firm with a focus on blockchain equity, announced it has raised over US$100 million for its TGV 4 Plus fund.

- The company says the TGV 4 Plus fund was oversubscribed and surpassed the US$100 million target mark.
- The fund has already invested in five companies to date, including Hong Kong blockchain-based gaming unicorn Animoca Brands, secondary private market solutions firm Forge Global, gaming metaverse platform The Sandbox, renewable energy bitcoin mining firm Canada Computational Unlimited, and AI asset management firm QuantumRock.
- With the growing recognition of blockchain equity as an asset class, TGV plans to raise more equity funding rounds following the launch of the TGV 4 Plus fund, the company said.
- The 40 partners in the fund will help portfolio companies with commercial relationships, investment promotions, introductions to VCs, loans, and company acquisitions and exits, among others.
- The TGV 4 Plus fund was established in 2018. It’s partners include prominent entrepreneurs such as PropertyGuru co-founder Jani Rautiainen, Lim Qing Ru one of the co-founders of customer support platform Zopim, which was sold to Zendesk for US$30 million in 2014, among others. The Singapore partners include Beatrice Lion, Celine Lecotonnec, Lim Qing Ru, Dusan Stojanovic, Jani Rautiainen, Justin Holm, Kelly Choo, Olivier Legrand, among others.
