Indian creator of edtech games, toys banks $6m in Sequoia-led round
Skillmatics, an India-based startup that develops educational products and games to help children develop core skills, said it has raised US$6 million in its latest round.

- Other investors: The family office of Jalaj Dani, chairman of Addverb Technologies, and existing angel investors
- Stage: Series A

- Skillmatics will use the funding to strengthen its presence in the US across online and offline retail, make new product and marketing hires, and expand its product range to include more age groups.
- The company said that to date, it has sold over 3 million products through its own websites, online marketplaces, and offline stores.
- It currently offers products in three categories – learning resources, educational games, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) toys – offering them across 15 countries focusing primarily on North America and India.
- Skillmatics was in the first batch of Sequoia India’s Surge, receiving US$1.5 million through the program.
