Amazon sees AI boosting AWS sales to $600b

Andy Jassy, Amazon CEO, told staff at an internal all-hands that AI could help Amazon Web Services (AWS) reach about US$600 billion in annual sales, according to comments reviewed by Reuters.

Jassy said he had previously expected AWS to be roughly a US$300 billion annual business about 10 years out and that AI gives the unit a chance to be at least double that.

AWS reported US$128.7 billion in sales in 2025, up 19% from 2024.

Jassy’s US$600 billion estimate implies an average annual growth rate near 17% over the next decade.

He did not provide details on how such sales would be allocated across AWS services.
