Alibaba Cloud launched a cloud region in France with two availability zones on June 17. The move expands its European infrastructure for customers seeking in-country cloud services.

The France region in Paris is Alibaba Cloud’s third in Europe, alongside existing regions in Germany and the UK.

Alibaba Cloud said the region supports several European compliance standards.

The launch expands Alibaba Cloud’s network to 105 availability zones in 32 regions. Alibaba Cloud has served European markets since 2016. The company already had local teams in France before opening this cloud region.

Alibaba Cloud said it plans to launch agentic AI products in European markets in the second half of 2026.
