In brief: Brunei-based agritech startup nets six-figure investment in pre-series A round
- Brunei-based agritech startup Agrome IQ raised a six-figure amount from Singapore-based Cerana Capital in a pre-series A round, The Scoop reports.
- The startup will use the fresh funds to support its regional expansion and product development, as well as grow its team.
- Agrome IQ, which digitizes farm management through a mobile app, said it plans to set up a base in Singapore while focusing on its growth in Malaysia and Indonesia.
- “With the investment from Cerana Capital, [it allows us to reach] 50 different distributors in Singapore that would buy farmers’ products on our platform,” said founder and CEO Vanessa Teo.
