The numbers behind Southeast Asia’s ecommerce landscape (Infographic)

In a 2016 study by Google, it was estimated that as much as “3.8 million new users will come online each month in Southeast Asia, making it the fastest-growing internet region in the world between 2015 and 2020.”

With the number of potential consumers online projected to reach 480 million in 2020, billions of dollars are being invested in regional market leaders, and new players are setting up shop to get a slice of the market. At the same time, ecommerce businesses are innovating solutions for payments and logistics to cater to this highly fragmented market.
