The acquisition, which includes the assets and staff of SingPost’s ecommerce arm, will strengthen Ada’s presence in the ecommerce tech space. Apart from this, Ada will be adding names such as retail giant Landmark Group SEA, sports apparel brand Anta, and outdoor apparel brand Timberland to its portfolio.
The move will also increase Ada’s ecommerce talent headcount to over 300 across its key markets and allow the company to offer a better range of services, including integrated media and analytics and ecommerce solutions.
“The addition of SingPost’s ecommerce arm marks a milestone in Ada’s ecommerce practice expansion plans as we ramp up our end-to-end ecommerce solutions,” says Ada CEO Srinivas Gattamneni in a statement.
Ada, which has Malaysia-listed telco firm Axiata as a majority shareholder, offers its services in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam, and South Korea. It now has a workforce of over 1,000 people across these 10 markets.
