Startups, hereโs your chance to score some face-time with GREE Ventures in Singapore

Startups, this is one good news you wonโt want to miss: Japanese venture capital firm GREE Ventures will be hosting a corporate meetup in Singapore on August 4. The session is open to all startups and will feature two panel discussions: first on the dynamic of corporates and startups in the tech ecosystem and second on mobile trends in Southeast Asia.
Why is GREE doing this?
As an active investor in Asia, GREE Ventures recognizes the disconnect between early stage startups and corporates in the tech ecosystem. GREE hopes to bridge this gap between the two parties by hosting an informal meetup to allow startups and corporates alike to understand both sides of the coin.
Whatโs in it for me?
Pick the brains of the speakers and gain insight during the panel discussions.
First, we will examine the growing trend of big corporations who invest, incubate, accelerate and partner with startups. But provided that corporates are also potentially competitors and partners to emerging companies, how should startups deal with this complex dynamic?
Hear from Kuan Hsu, principal at GREE Ventures; Tomithy Too, future innovations seeker at Starhub; as well as Bruno Occhipinti, director of strategy and new business development for Philips (Asia Pacific) as they shed some light on this.
Following this will be a short panel discussion that will dissect the key mobile trends in Southeast Asia. Our speakers for this segment โ Pieter-Paul Walraven, co-founder of Pie; Junde Yu, vice president of App Annie (Asia Pacific); and Nicholas Wodtke, vice president, Media Solution Center (Southeast Asia & Oceania) at Samsung Electronics โ will dive into the challenges that mobile-based applications and companies in Southeast Asia face, such as monetization and poor infrastructure; as well as their prediction on what the next mobile trend will be.
More importantly, this meetup is a canโt-miss opportunity to network and build your connections with the investors from GREE, corporates, and the speakers themselves in an informal setting.
Entry is free, so sign up fast to secure your space via the button below!
Please note that due to limited seating availability and our desire to make the event relevant for all attendees, your invite to this event is subject to a confirmation from GREEโs side. We will get back to you shortly after receiving your RSVP.
