500 Startups opens applications for fourth batch of Singapore accelerator program

Global VC firm 500 Startups said it has opened applications for Batch 4 of its growth stage-focused accelerator program, Global Launch Singapore.

Through the program, startups will be given the opportunity to learn about how to enter the Singapore market and expand across Southeast Asia. It will also provide participating firms access to 500 Startups’ network of mentors and networking opportunities with its community of startups, corporate partners, and key industry stakeholders.

Batch 4 of Global Launch Singapore is scheduled to run for 16 weeks, which will include an eight-week virtual program focused on the fundamentals of business expansion in Southeast Asia and an eight-week in-person program that focuses on market expansion by connecting startups with relevant partners.

Interested firms can apply for the program starting now until July 30, 2021.

“Through this program, we aim to give some of the world’s most promising startups and their founders the tools, know-how, and networks needed for them to enter the market through Singapore and how they can use the nation as a launchpad to scale their innovations regionally,” said Ee Ling Lim, 500 Startups’ regional director for business development in Asia Pacific.

Global Launch Singapore was first held in 2019 through a partnership between 500 Startups and Singapore agency Enterprise Singapore. Previous participants in the program include BizConnect, Botbox, Cindicator, Stride.ai, Synapsica, Vasitum, Zectr, Autenti, Bestmap, Brix, and Vase AI.
