US-based VC firm 500 Global has renewed its partnership with Taiwan Tech Arena, opening registrations for the 500 Global Accelerator Taiwan program in 2022.

The accelerator program has openings for 20 tech startups, with registrations scheduled to run from June 1 to July 1 this year.
The program seeks tech-focused or tech-enabled startups at the pre-seed or seed stage that have a functional prototype and early traction. They must either have plans to enter Taiwan or be based in the country and looking to expand overseas.
The selected startups will receive coaching, aid, and the opportunity to showcase their solutions through a demo day, where the startups will pitch to an audience of industry and ecosystem stakeholders, according to a statement.
Training is divided into three phases: foundations of growth, launch and experimentation, and fundraising and presentation – all of which will take place over eight weeks.
The accelerator’s 2021 cohort saw over 180 applications from startups working in healthcare, human resources, consumer services, IT, fintech, education, marketing, and design.
