YourDost

Bangalore-based online counseling and support portal YourDost has bagged US$1.2 million in a SAIF Partners-led funding round. Several existing investors participated in the round.

In November last year, YourDost raised US$380,000 in angel funding. It connects its customers to online counselors instantly and with discretion. The startup was founded in December 2014 by IIT-Guwahati grad Richa Singh, IIM-Bangalore alumnus Puneet Manuja, Northeastern University grad Satyajeet Nandekar, and Prakhar Verma, who got his computer science training from BMSCE in Bangalore. Available as an app, it can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play.

HealthEminds, another online mental healthcare startup, raised angel funding in March this year.

Pokkt

Japanese mobile marketing company Adways has acquired Pocket Money from Pokkt for an undisclosed aum. Pokkt is a mobile video advertising startup. Its decision to sell the app was part of a strategy to get back to its core business.

Pocket Money is app that offers customers incentives for viewing ads. It provides an alternative for companies looking to monetize ads on mobile platforms. It helps app developers gather customers and feedback through rewards-based incentives for ad viewers.

Pokkt, run by Mumbai- and Singapore-based Maiden Marketing, was founded in July 2012 by Rohit Sharma, Vaibhav Odhekar, and Sharad Ingule.
