A SaaS startup, a last-mile delivery tackler, and a laundry app make our list of funded startups today.

Freshdesk

Two weeks after its sixth acquisition, SaaS cloud-based customer engagement company Freshdesk has landed US$55 million in a series F funding round.

Sequoia Capital India participated in the round, which also included existing investor Accel Partners.

The funding will give Freshdesk’s Freshsales, customer relationship management (CRM) solution for sales teams, a boost in its competition against American company Salesforce.

Connect India

Bangalore-based Connect India, which seeks to build a last-mile distribution point network for India’s ecommerce firms, has secured US$1 million in funding from existing investor Aavishkaar Venture Management.

Launched in 2014, the company will target over 20,000 pin codes across India – over 50 cities, 450 district towns, and 8,000 small towns.

PickMyLaundry

Laundry services app PickMyLaundry has raised US$200,000 in series A funding led by angel investor Kedar Lele. GHV Accelerator, an existing investor, also participated and invested US$100,000.

The funding will be put towards expanding the startup’s services in the Delhi-NCR region and other tier I cities in India. The company aims for the next set of series A money to hit US$300,000.

PickMyLaundry picks up dirty garments and dry cleaning from doorsteps and delivers the cleaned products back in 48 hours. An express 24-hour service is available in some areas.

Founded in May 2015 by IITians Gaurav Agrawal, Ankur Jain, and Samar Sisodia, PickMyLaundry first launched in Noida in October this year. It has a team of 50.
