Fitso

WeChat steps into fitness tracking

Social networking app for fitness, Fitso, has raised US$200,000 in angel funding from three investors, including Samir Singla, CEO of Jugnoo and Varun Khurana, former CTO of Grofers.

The app plans to use the money to strengthen its backend technology and expand to new cities. It will launch in Mumbai on Monday.

Fitso users can find people in their area with similar fitness interests. The app also allows users to search for coaches.

Evibe

Evibe, an online marketplace for party services, raised an undisclosed amount of angel funding today in a round led by the Hyderabad Angels. The co-founders of CommonFloor and the VP of engineering at Flipkart also participated in the round.

The new funding will be used to expand Evibe’s current offerings into more diverse parties, including housewarming celebrations and conferences.

The startup claims to have served over 160,000 guests since it launched in February 2014.

Zoctr Health

Zoctr Health raised an undisclosed amount of money from the Times Group today. This is its third round of funding in the last nine months. Before this, it raised US$1 million in July and an undisclosed amount of seed funding in April.

The startup sells home healthcare packages by aggregating different services. These packages include things like long-term intensive care, chronic care, and health checkup. It currently operates out of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, and Ahmedabad.

It hopes to raise US$10 million in a series a round in the next six months.
