Kitchens@, a cloud kitchen startup based in India, has secured US$65 million in series C funding from London-headquartered investment firm Finnest.
Owned by Loyal Hospitality, the startup provides solutions for food chains including Domino’s, Subway, Taco Bell, and Nando’s, facilitating their expansion with a range of services that includes infrastructure, tech, and operational support.
With a reach spanning 700 kitchens, Kitchens@ operates in six cities in India.
The funds will be used to expand Dinerium, a hybrid model that combines online ordering and a premium dine-in experience to minimize wait times for customers.
Kitchens@ is also planning a roll-up business by acquiring and aligning with established restaurant brands in the Indian market.
The company recently acquired Swiggy’s cloud kitchen business through a share swap deal. The Bangalore-based food delivery platform, which sold Swiggy Access Kitchens to cut costs, became a stakeholder in Kitchens@ as part of the agreement.
After the acquisition, Kitchen@’s combined gross merchandise value (GMV) stood at US$65 million. The startup previously said it aims to push that number to US$100 million by September 2023.
