New Game App: Stack The Stuff For iOS and Android [REVIEW]

East Venture backed, Indonesia-based gaming start-up, Nightspade recently launched a new mobile game for iOS and Android gamers titled Stack The Stuff. As the title suggests, all players have to do is to stack the available stationary to reach for the stars. The more stars you touch, the more bonus points you get.

Similar to games like Angry Birds and Cut The Rope, Stack the Stuff is simple to play but requires some thinking as you advance further into the latter stages. You’ll want a decent understanding of physics, so this might be a good way to educate kids on Newton’s theories. Check out my complicated stack up. I’m only at stage eight!

Hint: The pause/start and restart buttons can also be stacked on too!

The user experience is great, especially when played on the iPad. Stack the Stuff can be categorized as another game app for quick and simple fun, especially suited for those who love to take short breaks from work.

Apparently I’m not the only fan of the game so far. Stack the Stuff has so far gotten 23 ratings on iTunes with an aggregated score of 4.5 stars, out of a possible five. The game was launched just five days ago and attracted more than 5,000 downloads purely through word of mouth. That’s not perfect, but it’s a decent start. I expect the download figures to increase as buzz about the game spreads farther. Co-founder of Nightspade, Garibaldy Wibowo Mukti told us that the app was developed in two months and his team has included several hidden features in the game for gamers to explore.

The game offers 15 levels for free before prompting users to purchase the app at $0.99. Interestingly, the game also includes a creative “donation bin” section which allow gamers to make a small donation of $1, $2, and $5. Check out Nightspade team’s feature video below:
