Docomo Rolls Out Nine New Smartphones in Japan [PHOTOS]

This afternoon Docomo held a press conference to show off its new lineup of mobile phones for this summer season.

This time the Docomo repertoire includes nine smartphones, “the largest and most diverse collection of smartphones” the company has ever released.

To mark the occasion actor Ken Watanabe was on hand, as well as actress Maki Horikita (pictured right), both of whom star in Docomo commercials.

Here’s a quick overview of some of the standouts from Docomo’s summer line-up.

The lineup includes a few world-firsts and various other superlatives. Most notable among them is the Sharp 3D Aquos SH-12C, one of the first mobile phones capable of capturing 3D video via its twin 8.0-megapixel cameras. The SH-12C is scheduled to launch on May 20.
