Alibaba Group Confirms Acquisition of CNZZ

Alibaba Cnzz AcquisitionRumors have been swirling since February about Chinese internet commerce giant Alibaba acquiring traffic stats company CNZZ. This evening a spokeswoman from Alibaba Group confirmed with us that this is now indeed a done deal:

“CNZZ is a company that serves small and medium sized Internet companies,” she explained. “Their business fits with Alibaba Group’s mission and hope that we can better serve these small businesses in the future”

Chinese media had been reporting the acquisition last week citing CNZZ, saying Alibaba shelled out $15 million for the company. According to that report 1.6 million website use CNZZ’s services each day.
