This wiki is created by several batches of students from Singapore Management University (SMU).
It is a compulsory group project for a communication module titled “Digital Media Across Asia”, led by Professor Michael Netzley. Groups of students are in-charged of a particular Asian country and they are to update the wiki with latest statistics, relevant news and case studies.
Sounds boring? It was to us until we were required to plan a social media campaign for a China based company. The wiki is priceless, with relevant information all within arms length. Try searching for relevant information in China and Google would spit out bits and pieces of information across different sites.
1. One Stop Shop
This wiki is a one-stop shop for you to understand not only China’s digital media landscape, but 22 other countries across Asia. The site contains what marketers need: online demographics, social media usage statistics, case studies etc. Here’s a set of presentation slides done by a fellow student.
2. Updated Twice Yearly
With the fast changing pace in the Internet realm, most site’s statistics and information become obsolete after a year or so. But it is not the case for this wiki. This wiki is updated twice yearly, ensuring that the information remains fresh and relevant.

3. Experts’ Views
The wiki doesn’t just provide information that is readily available on the web. It also contains native experts’ (or at least respectable bloggers’) insights of the digital media industry in their country. It gives digital media marketers a better grasp of what the digital media landscape is in a different light.

With China, India and several Asian countries up and rising, this wiki will certainly prove to be useful in the near future.
