Adways, a Tokyo-headquartered company founded in February 2001, today employs over a thousand employees worldwide and generated US$221 million in revenue last year.
The man behind this fast growing company is Haruhisa Okamura, who started his empire with a mere US$10,000 in capital. His story is a true rags-to-riches tale of a high school dropout becoming a multi-millionaire entrepreneur. At 34 years of age this year, Okamura still has much youth and foresight to bring Adways to greater heights.
His advice for budding entrepreneurs? “Read the trend,” he told us in a recent interview. “Everything is fast and going up and down. Entrepreneurs need to go with the flow,” he said.
His life story, advice, and all the hows and whys about Adways will be revealed on stage as we host Okamura for a fireside chat at Startup Asia Tokyo 2014 on September 3 and 4. Join us if you can.
