Social media helps businesses internally and externally. Use it as a collaborative work platform or as a tool to market your products. The key is on how a business can use it right. Socialcast created a gorgeous infograhic that tells the story between social media and business. Here are three interesting findings in the infographic:
(1) According to Watson Wyatt survey, about 3 out of 5 participants felt that social media helped in sharing and discussing new ideas. A company could use Facebook or Google group to form a private network for workers. Alternatively, companies could also use Salesforce’s newly launched Chatter.com. Chatter is built solely for work related collaboration.
(2) Facebook and Twitter directly improve buying decisions. 51 percent of Facebook users said that they are more likely to buy from a brand they ‘like’ on Facebook. In contrast, Twitter had a whopping 67 percent, 16 percent ahead of Facebook. 8 out of 10 Twitter users are likely to recommend the brand they follow while Facebook scored 60 percent.
(3) So, with all these benefits, how should one start using social media for his business? Socialcast offers 5 steps. Catch it below. You might also want to catch our post on The ‘Big Social Media Marketing Plan’ to find out how to craft a simple social media plan for your business.
