Multi-Tasking Taiwanese Musician Goes Viral on YouTube

shara-linWhile most of us can’t even master one musical instrument, Taiwanese Musician, Shara Lin mastered three – Piano, violin and Guzheng. In a video posted on YouTube, Lin performed a series of music medley with all three instrument.

She managed to do it by supporting the violin with her chin and shoulders while hands focusing on piano and guzheng.

We first caught this video on Wednesday thanks to Rick Martin who shared it with our group of writers. It had only 120,000 views back then. Somehow, the Lin’s YouTube video caught fire and ballooned to more than 1.5 million views in the next 3 days.

No doubt that Lin’s multi-tasking skills and ability to combine all three musical instrument into one great performance are some key reasons contributing to its viral effect. Several YouTubers also noticed that her “pretty outfit” also plays a major role in attracting eyeballs. YouTube analytics stated that the video went viral mostly thanks to Reddit and Facebook. Interestingly, China, where YouTube is blocked, had quite a fair bit of people watching the video too.

We last wrote on Indonesia’s Norman Kamaru whose Bollywood lip syncing performance on YouTube has gotten himself several media appearances, a scholarship and also a personal music album. It would be exciting to see if Shara Lin’s YouTube viral video would land her any remarkable deal too.
