It’s Qingming festival, a week for Chinese to pay respect to their departed love ones. Besides the usual joss paper, incense, paper cars and houses, why not offer paper iPhones and iPads?
In fact many are already doing so as the Reuters reported that paper iPad 2 went out of stock at one the prayer item stores in Malaysia. Some of the customers who bought these paper iPad 2 had dreams that their departed relatives asked for luxury gadgets such as the Apple iPads and iPhones. While the rest are simply doing it out of creativity.
However, there are also a group of people who opposed the idea of offering paper iPads. Some felt that there isn’t a point since the older generation doesn’t know how to use them. Reuters’s clip will give you a good overview on the latest Apple paper gadgets, the Qingming festival collection:
