Samsung Releases Samsung Galaxy S3 in Indonesia, 800 Sold in Six Hours

As promised, Samsung (005930:KS) Indonesia officially started selling the Galaxy S3 starting today. Central Park Mall Jakarta chosen as the venue to sell the S3 to the public for the first time. Some people queued as early as 4.30 AM and the event started at 10:00am, and after six hours it has sold over 800 units. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is priced at IDR 6,999,000 (US$ 750) but you can buy it for 6,499,000 (US$ 695) for the first 1,500 units today, hence the queue.
