Lenovo: A Record High of 14.1 Million PCs Shipped in Previous Quarter

“For 13 consecutive quarters, Lenovo has been the fastest growing major PC company.” So boasts Chinese computer maker Lenovo (HKG:0992) in what it calls its Q3 2012/13 results up to December 31, 2012. Despite a slowing PC and laptops market, Lenovo managed to hit a new high of 14.1 million PCs shipped, which amounts to $9.4 billion in sales. It now has 15.9 percent global market share in that sector.

The analysts Gartner say that Lenovo is the world’s top PC maker, but IDC’s figures disagree and show that HP is still fractionally ahead.

The full stats are on Lenovo’s site.
