Japanese Politician Winning Fans on Facebook

The leader of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party, and former Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, has been winning a lot of attention recently by doing something that not many Japanese politicians have done — engage the public on a Facebook page. The Wall Street Journal’s Japan Real Time blog has a good overview of how the politician has been using social media leading up to next month’s election.

So far his page has over 106,000 subscribers, which reportedly makes him the most subscribed politician on Facebook (NASDAQ:FB). Check out the full article for more details.
