The Inquirer has just confirmed with Mozilla, makers of the new Firefox OS, that China’s ZTE (HKG:0763; SHE:000063) and TCL (HKG:1070; SHE:000100) will launch Firefox-powered phones this year. ZTE seems set to launch the devices in Europe first.
The open-source OS has other partners confirmed today, such as chip-maker Qualcomm, and some European mobile telcos.
