Blackberry Thinks Pink in Indonesia

In an effort to freshen up its Blackberry Bold 9790 [1], RIM (NASDAQ:RIMM) has unveiled a pink version of the handset. It was shown off during Indonesia’s Jakarta Fashion Week, which runs from November 3rd to 19th.

Detik cites Eka Anwar, the marketing director of RIM Indonesia as saying today that the pink Blackberry is targeting fashion-conscious users in the country. With its exclusive BBM service now facing some challenges, it seems like RIM is pulling out all the stops to find new users.

It is available now for the price of IDR 4.4 million ($457).
