Yesterday, mobile telco Axiata (AXIATA:MK) and the Wikimedia Foundation announced that they are working together to bring free mobile access to Wikipedia. Axiata customers in Indonesia, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka will be the first to receive this free access to the online encyclopedia, while the same service will eventually be later rolled out for customers in Malaysia and Bangladesh.
This is done under Wikimedia Foundation’s project called Wikipedia Zero.
