Amazon China President Departs, Heads to Marketing Company

The long-serving president of Amazon China, Wang Hanhua, has departed from his Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) post. Effective December 1st, Mr. Wang will be the new CEO of Allyes, a Shanghai-based internet interactive marketing service.

Wang Hanhua joined Amazon China back in 2005, when it was still branded Joyo Amazon after the US e-tailer acquired e-commerce startup Joyo so as to establish itself in mainland China.

This is quite a coup for the well-established but not so well-known marketing group. Wang is also a former Asia-area VP for Motorola.
