Foxconn Zhengzhou fatal bus crash, January 17th 2013

A photo circulating on Sina Weibo (posted by The Economic Observer) shows that a pair of Foxconn company buses have been involved in a fatal crash in Zhengzhou, Henan province, this afternoon. Reports say that seven have died in the bus collision, and 20 are injured. One of the company’s buses rolled onto its side in the crash, while the other remained on its wheels.

The Zhengzhou plant is the Foxconn facility visited by Apple CEO Tim Cook last year, and is said to produce the majority of the company’s iPhone models.
