Zomato, Swiggy deny competition law breach amid probe

Zomato and Swiggy have reaffirmed their compliance with Indian competition laws in response to reports of alleged violations.

In April 2022, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) issued a preliminary order to investigate Zomato for potential breaches of the Competition Act, 2002.

The investigation centers on preferential restaurant listings and pricing parity.

Zomato’s compliance officer, Sandhya Sethia, said no final findings have been made against the company.

Swiggy also refuted claims of legal violations, describing certain media reports as misleading.
