Xiaohongshu downloads drop as TikTok doubles on iPhone return
After being reinstated on Apple and Google stores, TikTok’s downloads more than doubled, according to data from Sensor Tower.
During the same period, rival social app Xiaohongshu, also known as Rednote, suffered a 91% drop in downloads.
The app, which resembles Instagram, had gained popularity during TikTok’s absence.
However, Sensor Tower reported that its daily active users remain about 25% higher than before TikTok’s removal.
