US software company Datadog may buy Israeli cyber firm for $1b
Datadog, a US-based software company valued at US$50 billion, is reportedly in talks to acquire Israeli cybersecurity startup Upwind for around US$1 billion.
If completed, the deal would mark one of the largest exits for an Israeli cybersecurity firm in recent years.
Datadog previously acquired Israeli companies Seekret and Ozcode, though at lower values.
Founded in late 2022, Upwind specializes in cloud security. Its Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) includes CSPM, CWPP, and vulnerability management.
The startup raised US$100 million in a series A round in December 2024, led by Craft Ventures, with participation from TCV, Alta Park Capital, Greylock, Cyberstarts, and Cerca.
