🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
Velocity’s tech uses agentic AI that learns from past incidents to bring context during live issues
- Velocity built an “AI Production Engineer” that handles triage and cuts mean time to resolution (MTTR) 1. It learns from past incidents to adapt over time and improves with each case.
- The tech plugs into developer environments, so teams can “build, run and debug directly on your cloud” 1. It avoids extra tools.
- BigPanda already offers 50+ standard integrations 2 and turns noisy signals into useful alerts 3. The deal centers on learning-based incident response rather than more connectors.
Partners can build connectors for BigPanda’s expanded AI detection to reach enterprise buyers
- BigPanda supports tools such as Datadog, Grafana, New Relic, and Prometheus 2. Velocity adds agentic AI (AI systems that can autonomously take actions and adapt based on feedback). Systems integrators (consultancies that assemble and customize multiple software tools) can build automated runbook solutions (step-by-step operational procedures) that join detection with response.
- Managed service providers (third-party IT operators that run infrastructure plus applications for clients) can offer preconfigured playbooks that pair BigPanda’s unified data fabric (a layer that consolidates and normalizes data from disparate tools) 3 with custom automation. That targets the manual operations market BigPanda calls out 3.
- Vendors in categories such as observability (application performance, logs, and metrics monitoring) or IT service management (ITSM) can ship integration packs that feed context into BigPanda’s AI engine. The platform’s open architecture and 50+ existing integrations 4 invite ecosystem growth.
