UK smartphone maker Nothing nets $200m series C for AI devices

Nothing Technologies, a smartphone maker founded in 2020, has secured US$200 million in a series C funding round led by Tiger Global.

The round also saw participation from GV, Highland Europe, EQT, Latitude, I2BF, Tapestry, and new investors Qualcomm Ventures and Nikhil Kamath of Zerodha.

Nothing is now valued at US$1.3 billion.

Co-founder Carl Pei said the company aims to develop AI-era consumer devices, starting with smartphones, watches, and audio products.

He also indicated plans to expand into smart glasses, humanoid robots, and electric vehicles in the future.
