Gorilla supplies infrastructure while Yotta runs the rollout

• London-based Gorilla Technology will provide graphics processing unit (GPU) infrastructure. Yotta will deploy and run that equipment in its Indian data centers 1.
• The US$2.8 billion figure covers the combined value of contracts for the added deployment under current customer agreements. It is not Gorilla’s direct revenue 2. An earlier, smaller agreement was expected to bring Gorilla more than US$500 million over five years 1.

The deal fits a wider push to build AI capacity at home

• The arrangement fits the growing sovereign AI push, in which countries build local infrastructure for AI models shaped by local languages and cultures. That lowers reliance on foreign tech giants 3.
• Yotta is a private-sector partner in the Indian government’s IndiaAI Mission, a national program to expand AI computing capacity and services. The company has said it will commit more than 10,000 NVIDIA B300 GPUs from its AI supercluster to the IndiaAI Mission 4.
• The agreement also adds to a wider shift in where AI capacity gets built, with more systems going into countries viewed as trusted regional hubs. Gorilla has said NVIDIA is expected to take about half of the offtake in the incremental tranche through a four-year commitment tied to one of Asia-Pacific’s largest NVIDIA DGX Cloud clusters in India 2.
