UAE, US partnership to build $25b gas plants
Abu Dhabi-based ADQ and US-headquartered Energy Capital Partners (ECP) have announced a partnership to invest over US$25 billion in energy projects targeting data centers and industrial facilities.
The joint venture, revealed on Mar. 19, 2025, will focus on building gas-fired power generation facilities in the US.
These facilities will be co-located with data centers to minimize reliance on the grid. Plans are in place to deploy 25 gigawatts of power.
The first facilities are expected to be operational in about three years.
