TSMC proceeds with $65b US investment amid Trump’s election
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has announced its intention to continue with its US$65 billion investment in the US.
Despite the recent presidential election of Donald Trump, the company’s plans remain unchanged.
The world’s largest contract chipmaker is set to construct new manufacturing facilities in Arizona.
This comes as TSMC continues to supply semiconductors to major technology companies like Apple and Nvidia.
Its shares have also seen strong performance, bolstered by the demand for AI-related technology.
