Ticket resale firm StubHub shares drop 6.4% on debut
StubHub shares fell 6.4% from their IPO price of US$23.50 in their first day of trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
The New York-based ticket marketplace raised about US$800 million by offering over 34 million shares, ending the day with an US$8.1 billion market valuation.
StubHub said it will use the IPO proceeds to repay debt and for general purposes.
The company reported US$827 million in revenue for H1 2025, up 3% year-on-year, after a 29% rise in 2024.
StubHub, co-founded in 2000 by CEO Eric Baker, is among the largest secondary ticket platforms, competing with SeatGeek and Vivid Seats.
