Tesla expands in India with filings, new showroom

Tesla has initiated the homologation process for at least two of its car models in India.

This process ensures compliance with local regulations regarding emissions, safety, and roadworthiness.

Sources have indicated that Tesla India Motor & Energy Pvt. Ltd. submitted applications for the Model Y and Model 3 vehicles for certification in the Indian market.

One application has reportedly gained approval, adding to the seven homologation applications previously filed, totaling nine.

Additionally, Tesla has signed a lease for its first showroom in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai.
