Neko Health, a health technology startup co-founded by Spotify CEO Daniel Ek, has raised US$260 million in a funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners.
This financing values the company at approximately US$1.8 billion, according to a source familiar with the matter.
Based in Sweden and operating in the UK, Neko Health has developed a full-body scanning procedure that detects skin cancer and assesses risks for stroke and heart disease, among other conditions.
The service costs £299 (US$368) and has completed 10,000 scans in Stockholm and London, with a waiting list ten times larger.
